Stroke is the # 5 cause of death in the United States.New research finds a link between the two, as psychiatric illness is found to raise the risk of stroke. People who have survived a stroke may experience mental health conditions and changes in addition to physical impairment. Their day-to-day lives may also be affected. Fortunately, many of the disabilities, as well as emotional and behavioral changes caused by stroke tend to get better with time.
