That project gave the world a fine insight into the talent that Yogi possesses, but this latest production showcase is a more definitive exploration of his approach to beat-making. Weighing in at 19 tracks, the album is a sample-driven trip through Yogi’s musical universe, where we find the Cheltenham-based producer drawing on a wealth of influences to craft each beat. For example, on Who Has The Time?, Yogi flips a Con Funk Shun sample, breathing new life into the 70’s classic and on Got Til It’s Gone, we hear the distinctive tones of Bojack Horseman, blended into crisp drums and wonky keys, while Jonie Mitchell and Q-Tip vocal samples float through the background.
