Strong Dads - Do You Behave Differently in Different Environments? Episode 123

Behaving differently in different environments is not necessarily bad.  Certain environments require different things from us, so we may behave differently.  But things can get questionable if we are acting in a negative or destructive manner in a particular environment.  For example, it is not uncommon for a man to be very workable and pleasant in the work environment, but when he comes home, he exhibits anger, frustration, and possibly hurtful behaviors to his wife and children.  If this sounds familiar to you, then let's dig a little deeper.  What is it about the environment that brings out a different behavior, especially a negative behavior?  This can be boiled down to seven different areas that I refer to as our Social and Emotional Systems.  These are systems that we have to have in balance in order for us to not have tension.  The areas are: Control, Respect, Love, Trust, Security, Affection, and Faith.  If we are out of sorts in any of these areas, we will begin to act differently.  In this show, Hutch and Kyle go deep into these areas to help our Strong Dads realize what is actually causing their behavior and how to correct it.
