Strong Dads - Your House is on Fire - Episode 59

During this time of divisiveness across this country, we find ourselves nearly being forced to choose a side in most everything we do.  Are you Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal, Theist or Atheist, Red or Blue?  The challenge here is not just having to choose a side, but then feeling like you are forced to be sworn to absolute loyalty to the side.  This almost sounds like gang thought.  Once you belong to the gang, you have to do everything they say or you are out of the gang.  The problem that we have come to know is that our group allegiance has become so polarized that we refuse to do the work that we all recognize needs to be done.  In other words, we see that our house is on fire, but we are too focused on protecting our loyalty to the club.  In the meantime, our house is burning down.  Kyle and Hutch take some time to explore the thinking process that many of us find ourselves being swayed into.  As Strong Dads, we must remember that our number one job outside of loving Christ is to take care of our families.  Not just in the moment, but long term as well.  When we allow ourselves to get so distracted by all the clutter we often lose sight of just how messed up our own house is getting.  Maybe instead of worrying about all the outside clutter, maybe it's time to take the necessary steps to clean up and care for our own homes.  Support the show#Rocksolidfamilies,#familytherapy,#marriagecounseling,#parenting,#faithbasedcounseling,#counseling,#Strongdads,#coaching,#lifecoach,#lifecoaching,#marriagecoaching,#marriageandfamily,#control,#security,#respect,#affection,#love,#purpose,#faith,#mastersofdisaster,#storms,#disasterrelief,#tornados,#hurricanes,#floods
