Strong Winds, Not Tornado, Shakes Plantation | Miami News

A sudden, powerful windstorm tore through a Plantation neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, toppling trees and sending debris flying—captured by home cameras. One resident narrowly avoided disaster as a tree crashed near her house; another’s truck parking spot was blocked by fallen limbs. Nine homes lost power, fascia boards were ripped off, and stop signs bent under the force. Though residents feared a tornado, NWS meteorologist Dave Warren confirmed it was straight-line winds—not a twister—that caused the chaos. Thankfully, no injuries occurred, and damage, while disruptive, was repairable. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
