In 2014, we started gathering personal stories of how structural racism and sexism play out in the workplace. We realized that by studying how Black women have survived, we can empower the next generation to thrive. Community Crunch Molly Touchie This research seeks to glean insights into Community Food Centres (CFCs), social enterprises, and other food security innovations in Ontario through Zoom interviews with CFC staff and board members. By studying CFCs, including their innovations, possibilities, and limitations, I hope to examine pathways for structural change to address hunger, racism, social isolation, and food insecurity.
