Stubby but Fruitful- When God Prunes His Branches

As believers in Christ, we can anticipate being pruned spiritually. Jesus Christ spoke to His disciples in John 15, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit." He goes on to stress the importance of branches abiding in the vine and helping His disciples to understand that apart from Him, they could do nothing.
