Stuck Inside

"Stuck Inside" Drunk poet stumbled out the bar Head spinning, his vision a blur Looked around, an endless dark alleyway He thought he'd take the path home He walked down the dark corridor His footsteps echoed off walls Came to a door at the end And saw it slightly ajar Door pushed open and he stepped inside Found himself lost in a dark room A faint light from the other side Walking toward it with hope Light was coming from a portal bright Swirling vortex of darkness inside To the station like a magnet drawn He stepped through it He stepped into it Found himself in a twisted world A dark space of pain and suffering He could hear the screams of the damned And smelled the stench of the sulfured sand The man knew he was lost in hell And he was filled with despair Tried to turn back only just to find His path was covered he was stuck inside Trapped in hell fate with no escape With no way out no way to relate Lost and wandering through halls of hate He knew he'd never find God
