'Stuck Waiting for Some Stimulus' & 'Dragging the Nanny into Family Drama' & 'Getting Shorted on Electric Bills'

from Judge Mathis Podcast · host Telepictures

First, The plaintiff and defendant have been friends for over 35 years. The plaintiff says he loaned the defendant money because he fell on hard times. He co-signed on the defendant’s rent bill but has not been paid back, so he’s suing for a collections bill. The defendant argues the plaintiff came over one day and the two got into an argument, which caused the defendant to get arrested, so he’s countersuing. Then, The plaintiff says she was hired to babysit the defendant’s kids because the co-defendant — the children’s mother — could not be left alone with them due to an active DCFS case. She’s suing for unpaid wages. The defendant says they never agreed on the plaintiff’s fees. Plus, The husband-and-wife plaintiffs rented an apartment from the defendant, who they claim is rude and disrespectful. They’re suing because they say they’ve been overcharged on their electric bill. The defendant denies she overcharged for anything. She’s countersuing for emotional distress and defamation of character.
