The mail's here! A lot of important mail comes to your house. Like birthday cards, or report cards from your school. Report cards show how you're doing at school. They show all of your grades. ALL of them! The good ones and the bad. 信箱裡有各種郵件,包括成績單。它上面有你所有好的壞的成績,寄到你家信箱。 A high school student in Taiwan was getting good grades at school. Until her boyfriend broke her heart. Then her grades got very, very bad… 台灣有一個高中生原本成績很好,但在一次失戀後,她的成績跌到谷底。 Her mother was waiting at home for the report card. She was going to be very angry! The student wanted to hide her report card from her mother. She didn't want anyone to know. So she hired… a detective! 她媽媽在家裡等成績單,但是高中生想要把成績單藏起來,所以雇用了一個偵探! Detectives can do things in secret, without anyone knowing. But they cost a lot of money! The student paid the detective. The detective hid the report card. 學生給了偵探很多錢,請他幫忙把成績單藏起來,他也照辦了。 But then, the story got in the news! Her mother saw her bad grades in the paper! 結果這件事情上了新聞,她的媽媽也在新聞上看到了她的成績! The student lost lots of money. And she failed to hide her bad grades! Don't do what she did! It's better to tell the truth and study hard. ________________________________ Vocabulary 這名高中生不想讓爸媽看成績單,於是用了很特別的辦法。 1. hide 隱藏 Have you ever tried to hide your report card? 你有試過把成績單藏起來嗎?
