Meet Gianna! A Tourette syndrome ambassador. Gianna shares with us what it feels like to have Tourette’s Syndrome and what has motivated her to become an ambassador. From being diagnosed at the age of 8 and now 19, Gianna tells you what it feels like to be pulled out of class for support services and what it was like to be the last student to complete classwork. Gianna explains the subtle and not-so-subtle signs of Tourette’s Syndrome and the best approaches for educators to be proactive when educating a student with Tourette’s. Music has helped Gianna throughout her journey of life as a person and a student. She looks to help children find comfort through music just like she has.
