Who was once known as “Parker‘s Mom“ is now known as “Val.“ Sixteen years ago Valerie Colavecchio gave birth to a baby boy named Parker. To Valerie‘s surprise her baby was born with a genetic disorder leaving him visually impaired. In later years to come, Parker was diagnosed with Autism. Similar to other parents of children with special needs, Valerie needed to find a way to help her son and learn how to live a life outside of being a mother.
