STUDIO SESSION WITH RAY NITTI

In this inspiring episode, Xavier Mercado sits down with Milwaukee creative and community leader Ray Nitti. Ray shares his journey from emerging artist to a powerful force uplifting both Milwaukee and his native Virgin Islands. He opens up about his evolving music career and the realization that the perfect time to act is always “now.” Ray highlights his work with the Creative Corridor, where he and a passionate team offer programs for youth from DJ lessons and media training to mindfulness practices. These efforts create safe, creative spaces and promote growth in Milwaukee’s neighborhoods. He also discusses his run for District 4, touching on political and economic challenges in the city. Ray stresses the importance of unity, bridging gaps between the north and south sides, and between Black and Brown communities to drive lasting change. Whether reflecting on the impact of his hit “Bow,” challenging industry gatekeeping, or mentoring new talent, Ray’s humility and purpose shine through. His legacy is built not on accolades, but on the lives and communities he uplifts.
