Studio Stories: Reminiscing on Twin Cities Dance with Kevin A. Jones - Season 4, Episode 48

Kevin has worked behind the scenes of the professional dance and theatercommunity for over 40 years. He was resident Lighting Designer and ProductionManager for James Sewell Ballet for 20 years. His designs have illuminatedinternationally acclaimed ballets such as Moving Works, Barrage, Outerborough,Appalachia Waltz, Your Move, and Guy Noir: The Ballet. Kevin designed lightingfor the last four McKnight Dancer Fellowship Solo performances, MinnesotaDance Theatre, CAAM Dance, and numerous other dance and theatercompanies. He is currently the Interim Executive Director & Production Managerof The O’Shaughnessy at St. Catherine University. He was declared as “one ofthe best Stage Managers in America” by Dr. Maya Angelou. He designed andimplemented the lighting and sound systems for the TEK Box at the CowlesCenter for Dance and the Performing Arts. He designed lighting for Killer Pig[Guy Behar & Sharon Eyal, choreographers, 2009] premiering for GauthierDance at The Colours International Dance Festival 2017, Stuttgart, Germany andfor Rambert2 for a tour of Great Britain in 2018-2019. Kevin has also been thelighting designer for Ananya Dance Theatre since 2014.
