Study 189: Restitution Is a Provenance Argument With a Deadline

A provenance gap is priced as a discount in the market and functions as a claim in restitution. This study reads the instruments of restitution as provenance mechanisms with clocks attached, finds that discovery-based limitation periods make a holder's own research the event that starts the clock against itself, and closes on the absence of any equivalent mechanism in this institution's own Custodian's Contract.
