A discard has none, which makes it the only uncoerced valuation available, though it measures the relationship rather than the object. This study corrects the thesis twice, finds that discard is the most effective preservation mechanism known on an archaeological timescale, identifies the sorting line as the terminal event for an object's singularity, and sets against itself the counterexample of corporate destruction, which is a discard performed precisely to suppress a price.
