Stupid Kid and Professor Perty: Brain in a Fishtank

When Mike Davis and I began hanging out together we started, among other things, improvising comedy. We took on different characters and voices and interacted spontaneously to create scenarios. The characters here are Stupid Kid, played by me, and Professor Perty, played by Mike. We didn't get around to recording the scenarios on audio together until after, if memory serves, I had recorded our characters myself playing both roles. At one point I can briefly hear my dad calling to us from upstairs. This story has myself playing both the roles of Stupid Kid and Professor Perty. It starts with some audio I edited from my 7 Inch Reel 5. I accidentally recorded over a backwards voice on that reel, or perhaps the voice was recorded later. The voice belongs to what might be Stupid Kid's earliest recording, possibly from 1968 when I was 10 years old. Running the section forward, he's talking about being on either, and/or both, sides of a room. I inserted it to mend a raggedy edge at the beginning of this recording. I also lifted audio from a record I had entitled "The Haunting." Stupid Kid tells us that this recording was made between late October 1971 to December of the same year.
