Stupid Kid and Professor Perty: Space Travellers

When Mike Davis and I began hanging out we started, among other things, improvising comedy. We took on different characters and voices and interacted spontaneously to create scenarios. The characters on this recording are Stupid Kid, played by me, and Professor Perty, played by Mike. My elementary school chum James Damato played Dracula. We were watching a Castle Films 8mm silent movie that documented, if memory serves, NASA space launches from Project Mercury. We acted out our characters to match what we were seeing on screen with the intention of creating a soundtrack for the film. You can hear my projector running in the background. "When You're Hot, You're Hot" dates this recording to after that song's release in March of 1971.
