Stupid snow! Doc's Racing Report. Olympic updates. Kung-fu robots.

from ROCK MORNINGS · host Brian Simpson

Holy crap, that's a lot of snow! After a couple of very mild days, winter returned to the Coulee Region last night and dumped a bunch of snow all over the place. Jean's out again, but Doc joined me just after 8am this morning for another racing report courtesy of County Materials in Holmen. In the news this morning, actor Eric Dane died yesterday afternoon at age 53 after a brief battle with ALS, an update on the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, former Prince Andrew is arrested for his ties to Epstein, In sports, the Bucks return to action tonight against the Pelicans, the Badgers will play on Sunday against Iowa, Pat Murphy gets an extension from the Brewers, and the Chicago Bears moving to Indiana takes another step forward! Recapped the Olympic action from yesterday, including the US Women's Hockey team winning gold in overtime against Canada, an updated medal count, and the Australian reporter who got a bit tipsy before her live broadcast from the Winter Games. Talked about what's on TV this weekend along with what's new in theaters. Plus, some new music releases…including an upcoming heavy metal album from William "Captain Kirk" Shatner! Today(and every day) is "Love Your Pet Day"…so make sure they get some extra cuddles & treats today! Speaking of animals, check out these snowmobilers in NH who helped free a moose that was stuck in the snow. And a heart-warming story about a woman who tracked down her biological father who never knew she existed and then got adopted by him. Right in the #Feels Crazy story about an under-12 hockey game in Minnesota that lasted TWELVE overtimes and three days before coming to a conclusion! Couple of stories about fast food - The President of Burger King gave out his cellphone number(allegedly) so that customers can call or text him directly with complaints. Dunkin' Donuts is apparently giving out gloves today for iced coffee drinkers, Wendy's is once again releasing a Girl Scout cookies Thin Mint Frosty, and according to Instacart data…the most popular frozen pizza is Red Baron. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a #FloridaMan who got mad at his ex & attempted to destroy her car but picked the wrong SUV, a news anchor from Alabama that's going viral for being goth, a pediatric dentist who got arrested for working on patients while drunk, kung-fu robots in China, and an elementary school teacher from WI gets busted with cocaine at work.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
