Sturgeon's Husband Sold Portuguese Villa While on Legal Aid, Florida's Tricycle Gnome Thief, Trump's AI Parachute Video, Clown Robot Kicks Child in China & Dogs Beat Cats in Bed | The Daily Strange

Peter Murrell — Nicola Sturgeon's estranged husband and former SNP chief executive — reportedly sold his villa in Portugal's Algarve region while simultaneously claiming legal aid, a benefit typically reserved for those in financial hardship. In South Florida, a suspect caught on doorbell cameras rides a tricycle through suburban streets under cover of darkness, stealing garden gnomes from multiple properties before pedalling away. Former President Trump posts an AI-generated video of himself parachuting out of a plane while claiming "Mexicans love him" — viewers debate the CGI quality, the messaging, and whether reality still has any remaining guardrails. At a tech expo in China, a humanoid robot in a clown wig malfunctions during a demonstration and delivers a roundhouse kick to a child — the video goes viral globally and the organizers apologise for the programming glitch. And a new study finds that sleeping with a dog improves sleep quality, reduces stress, and lowers heart rate — while sleeping with a cat offers no measurable benefit whatsoever. Five stories. All real. All strange. The Daily Strange — where truth is always weirder than fiction. 
