For this week’s STYLES of DANCES we have incorporated songs which represent a particular dance form. Some dances are meant to be performed individually or partnered while others can be executed in groups. Popular partnered dances include the Cuban Cha Cha Cha, the Brazilian Bossa Nova, 18th century Bavarian Waltz and the 50’s Rock and Roll. The Stomp, the Twist and the Handjive are individualistic dances a s is the Hucklebuck. A popular group dance craze in the 70’s was the Nutbush and the ancient native Hula can be performed individually or with a group.
