Submit to Babylon or Face Destruction | Day 228

from Chronological Bible Journey Podcast · host Bellevue Media

Day 228 | Ezekiel 3:16–4:17; Jeremiah 27:1–28:17; Jeremiah 51:59-64Today we see two prophets—Ezekiel and Jeremiah—deliver God's warnings through dramatic and unusual actions. Ezekiel is appointed as a spiritual watchman and commanded to lie on his side for 430 days to represent Israel and Judah’s years of rebellion. He also enacts a siege and rationing to symbolize the coming suffering in Jerusalem. Meanwhile in Jerusalem, Jeremiah wears a wooden yoke to proclaim God’s command that the nations must submit to Babylon. When a false prophet named Hananiah opposes him, God judges him swiftly. These faithful men show us that obedience to God may look strange to the world, but His truth must be proclaimed no matter the cost.Hosts: Noah Sidhom, Michael PritchardVisit bellevue.org/bible for more resources and to download our reading plan.#ChronologicalBibleJourney #ChronologicalBible #BellevueBaptistChurch
