Day 228 | Ezekiel 3:16–4:17; Jeremiah 27:1–28:17; Jeremiah 51:59-64Today we see two prophets—Ezekiel and Jeremiah—deliver God's warnings through dramatic and unusual actions. Ezekiel is appointed as a spiritual watchman and commanded to lie on his side for 430 days to represent Israel and Judah’s years of rebellion. He also enacts a siege and rationing to symbolize the coming suffering in Jerusalem. Meanwhile in Jerusalem, Jeremiah wears a wooden yoke to proclaim God’s command that the nations must submit to Babylon. When a false prophet named Hananiah opposes him, God judges him swiftly.
