Today's Case A 54-year-old female presents with difficulty swallowing over the past 4 years that occurs with both solid foods and liquids. Her symptoms have progressed to the point that she frequently regurgitates food contents and experiences chest discomfort associated with swallowing. Previously, she was diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux disease, for which she takes a proton pump inhibitor without relief. Currently, she maintains a liquid diet.
