Substitute Teacher Caught With Loaded Gun at School | Miami News

A substitute teacher walked into Westland Senior High with a loaded 9mm Walther pistol in her backpack—discovered when another teacher found the unattended bag and spotted the firearm. The gun, with a round in the chamber and seven live rounds in the magazine, was immediately turned over to authorities. Identified as 27-year-old Chenelle Antonette Doctor from Hollywood, she now faces charges for possessing a firearm on school grounds and is being held with a $2,500 bond. A stark, sobering reminder: even in places where safety should be paramount, common sense isn’t always practiced.
