🎙️ Episode Summary In this episode of CLF Conversations, Perry and Pastor Dave sit down with Trevor for a conversation about business, ambition, achievement, and the subtle temptation to build our identity around success. Trevor shares his story of coming to faith in Jesus, how business and achievement became a significant part of his life, and how the Lord began exposing the places where success had become more than a goal—it had become something he needed. Together they discuss the difference between healthy ambition and idolatrous ambition, the danger of allowing achievement to determine our worth, and how the gospel completely changes the Christian definition of success. Finding our identity in Christ doesn't necessarily mean becoming less driven. It means we no longer have to accomplish things in order to prove who we are. Because in Christ, our identity has already been settled. That freedom allows Christians to work hard, build businesses, pursue excellence, take risks, provide generously, and create meaningful things—not for our own glory, but as faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to us.
