Success God's Way (Jer 17.5-8) 1-9-22

Scripture texts are Jeremiah 17.5-8 and Matthew 13.1-9 from the subject, “Success God’s Way.”There are two types of people. The one who trusts in man, including self, and the one who trusts in the LORD. Many self-help books are on the market. Tons of good information. I have many in my library. According to NPD (market research company), the number of published titles in self-help rose nearly three-fold from 30,897 in 2013 to 85,253 in 2019. Unit sales of self-help books have grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR), NPD reports, of 11 percent in six years, reaching 18.6 million in 2019.People are looking for help. They want to improve. They want to be successful. The question is, “Are we looking in the right place?” There are two types of people.I.The one who trusts in man, including himself. (vv5-6)II.The one who trusts in the LORD. (vv7-8)In the year 2022, let’s commit to putting our trust in God, obeying God, and leaving the outcome to God. God blesses the person who trusts and follows Him. That’s success. Amen.
