June 25, 2025 Daily Devotion: "Success Through Obedience" 1 Chronicles 22:13 English Standard Version 13 Then you will prosper if you are careful to observe the statutes and the rules that the Lord commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Fear not; do not be dismayed. Fear is an instant joy-killer. Think about it: you simply can't feel joy and anxiety at the same time. Those two emotions don't mesh. Give in to fear, and your joy will disappear like sparkling water out of a cracked pitcher. Follow the Lord'sinstruction when He says, “Fear not” and you'll be delightfully surprised at how much more room there is inside your heart! You might be shocked when you realize how much energy and time you've wasted on fretting-and how much of thatenergy and time is now freed up for Christ like emotions such as joy, compassion, and contentment. Sometimes we don't realize how much we're investing in negative emotions until they're gone. Are you exhausted? Do you feel as if you've lost that spark lately and you don't know how to get it back? Take an honest look at how much energy and time you're spending on the wrong emotions. Then choose joy.
