Sue Warner: from the Falklands to the NHS, from Afghanistan to the Invictus Games!

This week, Dan and Jonny hopped over to Belfast to interview Sue Warner (and husband Julian). There’s not many people whose military career spanned both the Falklands War and Afghanistan but Sue served as a Royal Navy nurse in the first and in the same trade as a Reservist in the second. With an NHS career overlapping, too.We talked about leaving home at 16, the particular challenges of nursing on a hospital ship in a broiling sea, teaching her captain and crew to waltz, returning to service in Helmand, and her personal and professional experience of mental health treatment.
