Suffering From Success

Andrew Walworth, Tom Bevan, and Carl Cannon delve into the latest immigration statistics from the Center for Immigration Studies, revealing a decline in both illegal and legal immigrant populations since President Donald Trump's administration began. They discuss the economic implications of these trends and whether Trump's immigration policies may be inadvertently harming the labor market. The conversation shifts to the political fallout from recent procedural votes in the House, as Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries reacts to defections within his party. The episode also features insights from Henry Olsen, who analyzes the upcoming midterm elections, the potential impact of redistricting, and the dynamics of the Democratic Party leading into 2028.
