Suffering Within The Process

from Unsilenced Truths · host Caira Scott

*Proverbs 4:23 ~ Above all else guard your heart for everything you do flows from it. It is the Monday of finals week for the Fall '22 semester. I was in a  rush recording this episode and dehydrated so if you hear "Pure shate" (1:11)  feel free to laugh (I thought it was funny) but you guys know what I meant and as always bare with me even through dehydration and poor enunciation. I was super excited to share this revelation with you because as I said it has been a rough week or two. Yes, numerous good things have happened and I am certainly grateful for this growth that I have experienced, still for me the suffering I endured was very heavy on my heart. I had to really stay my course and not give up. Once again resting as needed only to turn around and keep going. Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church said in one of his sermons that "Confidence in God's promise without commitment to His process is not dependence it's delusion"; to me that meant if I am operating within my faith in God's ability to do what he has promised me whether that's what he has promised all of us in his word (the Bible) or what he has spoken specifically to me I cannot quit the process because it is hard.  I was anxious (eager) recording  this because to come out on the other side and see a victory in another unexpected way really made me feel fulfilled and hopeful in other endeavors in my life. There were a lot of technical difficulties with recording and publishing this episode. My computer and storage device seemed to just want to delete this and I really had to be patient with myself to find a way to preserve what I had already recorded.  Nevertheless, episode 5 is here even if the process was more difficult than the past four and to me that is what makes this even more worth the trouble. Finding a way through problems and still coming out stronger and more knowledgable on the other side. Your hard times may break you and it may take time to put the pieces back together but in the end you are worth the time and energy you put into yourself. Stay the course and run your race!

NEWMORROW SESSIONS - A PodCast Series on the Future of Hospitality Mario C. Bauer, Florian Schneider, Axel Weber & Dr. Tillman Bardt The Newmorrow PodCast is more than a podcast — it's a platform for open dialog on the future of our business, a platform for those building what doesn’t exist yet. Here, we share and embrace our passion for the hospitality industry, but we won’t romanticize the journey. We ask the tough questions, confront uncomfortable truths, and prepare for a future that resists easy answers. We believe that the tougher and wilder times become, the more openly, honestly and humanely people need to talk to each other and act together. We believe, openness, togetherness, and truthfulness should also be cornerstones of a professional community to develop our utopian idea of „open source“. This is a space where visionaries don’t just imagine the future — they wrestle with the paradoxes that shape it: success vs. happiness, data vs. instinct, stability vs. reinvention. Join leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers as they share not what made them — but what’s actively shaping them, now and next.
