Sugar Bowl Postponed After New Orleans Attack

A terror attack in New Orleans on New Year's Day 2025, resulting in 15 deaths and numerous injuries, caused the postponement of the Sugar Bowl football game between Georgia and Notre Dame. The game, scheduled for January 1st, was delayed 24 hours due to the ongoing investigation and emergency response. This marks the first-ever postponement of the Sugar Bowl, although a previous game was relocated due to Hurricane Katrina.
