Sukkah 41: Rabban Gamliel's Lulav

[Some audio mess towards the beginning, but it mostly resolves pretty quickly. We're working on a permanent solution] When the Temple stood, the lulav was taken every day of Sukkot there, but only on the first day outside of the Temple. This is one of 9 decrees by R. Yochanan ben Zakkai, to establish and salvage Judaism after the destruction of the centralized force of Judaism. Similarly, he established a delay in eating from the new grain, "zekher le-Mikdash." Plus, an explanation (or two) for why things are indeed "zekher le-Mikdash" and seeking out the Temple. Also, the case of Sukkot that falls out to begin on Shabbat, and how the people would handle their lulavim to avoid carrying on Shabbat. Plus, giving a lulav as a brief present is effective, and isn't considered borrowing. The proof for this being the sages themselves, who only had one lulav among themselves. Also, the circumstances when carrying a lulav around with you while you go about your prayer and other mitzvot is acceptable, and when the lulav needs to be set down.
