It’s been almost two weeks since a group of armed men from Southern Philippines have been in a stand-off with police in Sabah, as they assert their claim on what they call “their rightful ancestral territory” Their claims have brought to the fore an unresolved territorial question between the Philippines and Malaysia, at a sensitve time as both countries are headed to the polls this year.
