Summer holiday

from Set Meridian · host Set Meridian

We all love holidays! We all dream about them. We then work like crazy to figure out the complex scheduling. And then finally the day comes, we run, sweat, scream, and run like headless chickens to get there to travel, packed like sardines. Suddenly comes the magic, the pleasure, the pure dream. Piña colada in hand as you disappear into bliss. Only to once again, at the end have to repeat it all backward! Another one of the series why? :)

The Late Set WRTI Jazz is a conversation — and that’s what The Late Set is all about. Originated by critic Nate Chinen and broadcaster Greg Bryant, the show now convenes Chinen and Josh Jackson twice a month for perceptive variations on a theme, and their related interview with a special guest. Just like a hang at the end of the gig, in the back of the club, it’s direct, unfiltered and illuminating, revealing the music and its culture in a deeper light.
