Summer in the City: Team Teach - Part 3

Team Teach Sunday wrapped with a third set of speakers at the 12pm service, teaching on Banner's four core values: PRESENCE, HOME, FREEDOM, and KINGDOM. Priscilla spoke on God's presence from Psalm 27, sharing the tragic loss of her brother to gun violence and how God's presence brought her healing rather than hatred. Naima taught on home from John 13, using her own journey of resisting then embracing her stepdad as a picture of making room for others the way Jesus made room for her. Gabriel spoke on freedom from Colossians 1, drawing on a snowboarding rescue story and his exit from the Mormon church to illustrate that freedom comes from being rescued, not self-effort, and Ki'ana closed on building God's kingdom from Matthew 28, sharing her path from addiction to discipleship and challenging the church to see themselves as products of the Great Commission.
