When you hear the phrase "Oak Grove," do you mean the church, the surrounding neighborhood or maybe a little bit of both? The reality is that Oak Grove is a Church that has always existed inside of the larger community of Oak Grove. And so, we thought it be fun to explore a little bit more about our neighborhood, some of the stories of how this church began as a small brush arbor church in 1830's, and grew in the 1960’s to the current building and spaces we use now.  This season with Rev. Dr. Joseph McBrayer (Associate Pastor for Connection & Digital Ministry at Oak Grove UMC) will help you to more fully understand how to engage in the area where YOU live, and in the places that we find ourselves each and every day – as we continue to look for ways that God is already at work in the world and how we might join in that good work. The first episode of the podcast comes out next Tuesday July 2nd with a final farewell interview for our recently retired pastor, Rev. Dr. Amy Morgan.
