Though it's hot and buggy, the summer is a great time to get boots on the the ground for some deer scouting. The woods are thick and green, but there is still much that can be discerned this time of year, such as preferred bedding, food sources that will be prime come opening day of deer season, and what bucks are hanging around the areas you hunt.
