Summer Reflections - Episode 8 - Jesus: Learning to Wait on God

Send us Fan MailThe Jesus Effect — Summer Reflections, Episode 8Jesus: Learning to Wait on God Isaiah 40:31What do you do when you’ve prayed, trusted, and still find yourself waiting?Waiting for an answer.Waiting for direction.Waiting for a door to open.Waiting for circumstances to change. In Summer Reflections — Episode 8, Steve McLane looks at Isaiah 40:31 and the promise God gives to weary people: those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.Waiting on God doesn’t always mean receiving the answer we want on our timetable. Sometimes we’re waiting for God to change our circumstances while God is using the waiting to change us.We’ll reflect on what it means to trust God when we don’t understand His timing, why waiting doesn’t mean God has stopped working, and how waiting on the Lord is not passive—it’s active trust. And perhaps instead of only asking, “Lord, when will this change?” we can also ask:“Lord, how do You want to change me while I wait?”Waiting on God is not wasted time when we’re walking with Jesus. The Jesus Effect — Summer Reflections, Episode 8Jesus: Learning to Wait on God Isaiah 40:31Encounter Him – Experience ChangeThis episode of The Jesus Effect was written and hosted by me, Steve McLane. If this message touched your heart, please consider sharing it.You can listen to more at thejesuseffectpodcast.com or follow us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Facebook, and others.Until next time — stay rooted in faith and be the light. And remember, when you encounter Him - you experience change.© 2025 The Jesus Effect Podcast.
