here are many, many misconceptions about Open Source. Virtually any developer worth his title has used open source at one point or another of his career, but few have actually participated in it, or contributed to it. I, of course, am no exception to this rule. In the first decade or so of my career I worked WITH open source to some extent, but only in the last two years have I started working ON open source.
