Sunday 13th April 2014 - Open the Storehouses of Heaven - Brian Nish

‘OPEN THE STOREHOUSES OF HEAVEN’ PROPHECY I heard a voice saying “Open the storehouses of heaven” and when I looked I saw the following: Firstly: A huge storehouse with big doors, and one normal sized door, all closed (the normal door is where individuals have pressed in to lay hold of the blessing of God for others over the years). Secondly: The big doors were pulled open by two large angels, and gifts and blessings were made available to the whole church, and not just individuals who have pressed in. Thirdly: There was the sense that the gifts and blessings inside the storehouses weren’t just lying in heaps on the floor, but were named and organised on shelves with people’s names on them. Fourthly: There was also the sense that these were for disciples of Jesus who were truly following Him, and were demonstrating their love for Him by keeping and obeying His word. These disciples would ensure that the gifts and blessings of God would be administered properly on earth, and would touch and bless people at their point of need. WHAT’S IN THE STOREHOUSES? The sacrifice and victory of Jesus on the Cross not only gave us access to the Father’s presence, but also gave us access to all the gifts, blessings, and benefits that God has ‘in the store’ for us. What are some of these? Sometimes the bible is called ‘a storehouse of God’s promises’. These promises show us some of the things that are available in God’s storehouse:- Deut 28v1-12; Psalm 103v1-6; Eph 1v3; Phil 4v19; James 1v17-18 (VOICE) God’s love, grace, goodness, mercy, forgiveness, salvation, healing, deliverance WHO CAN ACCESS THE STOREHOUSES? True disciples of Jesus (John 14v23) Mark 1v17 – Follow Me John 15v4-5 – Abide in Me John 15v9-10 – Obey Me 2 Tim 1v7 - …God has given us a Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (self-control, discipline) True disciples of Jesus follow Him, abide in Him, obey Him, seek first the kingdom and His righteousness, and look to bring the blessings of the kingdom of heaven to earth Math 6v10 – Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven HOW DO WE ACCESS THE STOREHOUSES? Remember and recognise that Jesus paid the price to give us access to Father God’s presence, and all His gifts, blessings, and benefits. This is all the grace of God, and nothing that we deserve. So how do we access this grace? Rom 5v1-2 – Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ – through whom we have access BY FAITH into this grace in which we stand… John 15v7-8 – If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you will be My disciples Therefore, as loving, righteous, and obedient disciples, WE COME TO FATHER GOD – IN FAITH – and – IN THE NAME OF JESUS - and ask for what we need from the storehouse in heaven, either for ourselves, and/or others OBEDIENCE ALSO BRINGS BLESSING Deut 28v1-2; Pro 3v9-10; Mal 3v10-12; James 1v22-25 ADMINISTRATING GIFTS AND BLESSINGS Mark 6v31-44 – Feeding of 5,000 Mark 6v40 – So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties Jesus ‘administrated’ a miracle because He didn’t want anyone to miss out. The gifts and blessings of God are set out in an ‘orderly manner’ in the storehouses in heaven – and we need to ‘administrate’ them in an ‘orderly manner’ upon earth – so that we touch people at their point of need - and no one misses out!
