Returning to our Genesis series, we begin the final section of the book, following what becomes of Jacob’s family and God’s covenant promises through them. In Genesis 37:1–11, favouritism, jealousy and broken relationships dominate, yet God is already revealing his sovereign purpose through Joseph’s dreams. Even when his providence is hidden, his promises remain certain and Joseph’s rejection begins to point us towards Jesus, the rejected and exalted King.
