Rev. Craig Lynn preaches Luke 4:1-13 at morning worship on Sunday 9th March 2025 in First Ards. Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness is more than just an example. Where Adam fell in Eden, Jesus stood firm. Where Israel failed in the wilderness, Jesus remained faithful. Satan tempted Him with shortcuts to satisfaction, power and security, but Jesus refused, choosing obedience to the Father over compromise. He fought not with miracles, but with Scripture, showing us that God’s Word is our greatest weapon against the enemy’s lies. And because Jesus won this battle, He wins every battle. His victory is our victory. So when temptation comes, will you fight in your own strength, or will you stand firm in His?
