Sunday, December 9, 2018 -'Tis The Season

In the new series "'Tis The Season", we approach the heart of the gospel and the full reason why Jesus came. Before we can fully accept the gracious gift He has come to offer us, we must see who we are in light of His perfection. We are all in the same condition needing the same thing today as those in the day of John the Baptist. "Repentance". Just as clear as his message was leading up to the revelation of who Messiah was, it is as clear today for those of us who recognize Christ as Savior. We have to repent to be saved. We are unable to celebrate the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus if at first we do not turn away from our old nature and allow our hearts to be changed by the Holy Spirit. We simply cannot live for God if we continue to live for ourselves. God knows we are not perfect, but He desires our best. Give yourself to Him and He will transform you into a vessel for His glory.
