When you surrender your life to Christ, you understand the Holy Spirit brings joy, peace and love regardless of situations surrounding you. People outside of Jesus often rely on circumstances to bring happiness to their lives; temporary emotions only leave you feeling empty and alone. Christ died to share strength that carries us through and a joy that does not ebb and flow with what life can offer.
