Sunday Live Service 10am

from Everwell Podcast · host Joshua Sisco

Prophetic Pause: Looking Back to Look ForwardEvery January, Everwell Church takes time to pause and listen, seeking clarity and vision for the year ahead. This intentional moment, which we call the Prophetic Pause, is more than a reflective exercise; it’s a sacred opportunity to hear from God, align with His purposes, and discern His work in the soul of our church. This year, our new sermon series, Prophetic Pause: Looking Back to Look Forward, will guide us through the lives of God’s prophets. Often misunderstood as fortune-tellers, the prophets were not predicting future events to entertain or frighten. Instead, they were poets of divine truth, voices that called God’s people back to covenant faithfulness. They boldly declared the heart of God, challenging complacency and inspiring hope in the midst of uncertainty.Through this 5-week series, we’ll explore the “biopics” of these extraordinary yet human figures. Their lives were strange, marked by conviction and often immense personal cost. They wrestled with God, stood against injustice, and bore witness to His faithfulness in tumultuous times. By looking at their stories, we’ll reflect on how their courage, honesty, and trust in God’s promises speak directly into our lives today. The Prophetic Pause is not just about studying the past; it’s about allowing the prophetic voices of Scripture to guide us as we step into the future. What might God be saying to us now, both as individuals and as a church community? How can their call to return to God transform us in the year ahead?Join us as we dive into this series and open ourselves to the Spirit’s leading. Together, we’ll listen for God's voice in the words of His prophets and seek His vision for what’s to come. Let’s pause, reflect, and move forward in faith.
