from Trinity Baptist Temple Sermon Podcast · host Pastor Kyle Densmore

The End Sermon 3 Colossians 3:1-3 NASB Pre-Tribulation Rapture: This view maintains the rapture occurs when Jesus comes secretly to gather the church prior a seven-year Great Tribulation that precedes the return of Christ to earth. Mid-Tribulation Rapture: This is similar to the pre-tribulation view except that it locates the rapture after the first three-and-half years at the point when the Antichrist assumes power. Pre-Wrath Rapture: This position argues that the rapture will occur toward the end of the tribulation before the outpouring of God's wrath with the bowl judgments (Rev. 16) prior to the return of Christ. Post-Tribulation: This view sees the rapture as occurring simultaneous to the return of Christ at the end of the Tribulation. Revelation 20:2-7 NASB Premillennialism places the coming of Christ before the millennium, which they see as the personal reign of Christ on the earth. Postmillennialism places the coming of Christ after the millennium, which it conceives as a spiritual presence of Christ working in and through His church to give a golden age, a period of unexampled prosperity in its ministry. Amillennialism denies the reality of a thousand-year reign, either in the sense in which the premillennialist or the postmillennialist conceives it. Zech 6:15 NASB Matthew 24:42-46 NASB Futurist - This view holds that, with the exception of chapters 1-3, all the visions in Revelation relate to a period immediately preceding and following the second advent of Christ at the end of the age; therefore, the seals, trumpets, and bowls refer to events still in the future. The beasts of chapters 13 and 17 are identified with the future Antichrist, who will appear at the last moment in world history and will be defeated by Christ in his second coming to judge the world and to establish his earthly millennial kingdom. Historicist - This view centers on history and its continuity as seen in Revelation. Preterist - According to this view, Revelation describes what was happening in the time of the author; it is a contemporary and imminent historical document dealing with the evil Roman Empire. Idealist - Symbolical - This method of interpreting Revelation sees the book as being basically poetic, symbolic, and spiritual in nature. 1. Stay spiritually alert. Colossians 3:1-3 NASB Matthew 24:42 NASB 2. Stay sincerely devoted to Christ. 2 Peter 3 NASB
