The Church, Part 44 Acts 12:1-4 NKJV I. God is God (even in what we perceive to be good or bad circumstances). Colossians 3:1-3 NASB Romans 12:1-2 NASB Ephesians 4:17-32 ESV 1. All flesh is grass and the glory like the flower of grass. The grass and flower withers but the word of the Lord endures forever. 1 Peter 1:24 2. Our life is a vapor. James 4:14 3. In this life we will have tribulation. John 16:33 4. All that live godly will suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:12 5. Each day has enough trouble for itself to worry about tomorrow's evils. Matthew 6:33-34 6. We have a God set, God ordained, time to die. Hebrews 9:27 7. God knows when sparrows fall, He knows the number of hairs on our heads; we need not worry. Matthew 10:29-31 8. We shouldn't be anxious for anything, but handle everything with prayer; trusting God's sovereignty. Philippians 4:6 9. We have a heavenly home, and body, beyond this temporal one. 2 Corinthians 5:2 10. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He doesn't change, we change. Hebrews 13:8, Romans 8:29 God didn't stop being God when James was killed or when Peter was arrested. God doesn't stop being God in any of our difficulty.
