from Simple Church

With this message leading us into our new series next week, we are faced with a startling, yet obvious truth. As our Pastor, Kenny, explains, "Making disciples is the biggest gap in American Christianity." We have diluted our true purpose in such a way that just attending church seems to be what a Christian looks like to us. This could not be further from the truth of what Christ has called His followers to do. As a true follower of Jesus Christ, we are called to make disciples. It will not be easy, but it is what Jesus has commanded His followers to do. As we walk through this command in Matthew together, we can clearly see the urgency to immulate the early Church and put our focus on what we are actually called to do, instead of doing what we would like to be called to do. "...go and make disciples..." Matthew 28:16-20 Kenny Nix, Pastor
