The role the Royal Family has in the 21st century has been thrust back into the spotlight this week. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have made a final split with the British royal family, telling Queen Elizabeth that they will not be returning as working members of monarchy.The statement from Buckingham Palace comes after the pair suddenly announced they were embarking on a new future, last year.That split has now been formalised after discussions with the 94-year-old Queen. The pair will lose their honorary military appointments and royal patronages.It comes the same week that a poll in Canada shows that 55 percent of people believe the Royals are no longer relevant in their country.
