What stands out to you from hearing these verses?  Is God offering an invitation or a challenge to you through those words?  Take time to pray about it. 2. What does it look like to live in a sin-broken world?  How did Pastor Anthony describe it?  How would you?  In particular: are there specific places where this sin-broken world has impacted your life? 3. Who are the women (and men who are their partners!) of Matthew's genealogy?  What makes their stories scandalous?  What's the 5th story, and what makes this one scandalous? 4. What does Joseph and Mary being "righteous," "favoured" people wind up looking like in practice, given the (not sinful, but still perceived) reality of Mary's out-of-wedlock pregnancy? 5. What do we learn here about what it means to live righteously as God's people in a still sin-broken world?  Perhaps even more importantly: what do we learn about the way that God works in a still sin-broken world? 6. How might you take this word into your life practically this week?
